Step 1 - Initial Consultation
“WEEK 1”
Here you start to develop the ‘general’ capacities related to building a strong foundation following on from the results collected within your Performance Testing Session.
Your content will be bespoke and uploaded on our app for you to follow, along with your Performance Testing Report and complete road map for your training journey.
You are are creating the basis for week 2 & 3.
Step 2 - Start The Discovery Phase
“WEEK 2 & 3”
This is includes 4 x 1-Hour Face-to-Face sessions at Athlete 1st HQ, guiding you through key training concepts.
You will also be given sessions to complete independently via the Athlete 1st App learning how to fill-out, record, video and excecute exercises so you feel confident coaching online.
Training is specific to the qualities needed to transfer into your sporting performance, whether that being movement capabilities or speed withing the golf swing, agility and speed within football or strength and power within your rugby game.
Phase 2
“Ongoing Coaching”
After your 4-Week ‘Discovery Phase’, you will be fully competent for any and all online coaching that we are going to give you via our Athlete 1st App!
You will receive weekly reviews and comprehensive feedback via the app on your sessions, looking at progression, form, how you set-up for exercises and anymore you need us to help you with.
Phase 3
“QUARTERLY RE-TESTING”
Once every 12-weeks, we will book you in for a Performance Athlete Testing session and complete review of your previous block of training.
We will work with you to review the quarter, what you enjoyed, how you progressed and put some goals in place to do it all again even better in the next quarter!
Most importantly, we will make sure that the training is based around your sport and time of year so that the next 12-week block compliments and doesnt hinder your sporting performance.

Liam Colbon
Founder & Head Coach
Having played golf his whole life, Liam got down to hcp at the age of 4 aged 14. The demands of being an aspiring then professional rugby player then took over. He has helped young aspiring golfers and parents navigate their development, professional players, aspiring long driver professionals and any recreational golfers become more physically prepared to do what they love. Liam will work with Sam to interpret the baseline testing data gathered, then create your bespoke programming and roadmap to success.

Sam runs the ‘Athlete Testing’ here at Athlete 1st. Within the ‘Golf Performance Plan’, he will look at lower & upper body power, strength, mobility & identifying any asymmetries.
