Success Stories!

Caitlin Polley

Caitlin Polley -- Hockey --

From age 13, Athlete 1st kept me injury free during my school career and was vital in helping me when I went off to Uni in 2020.

They really helped me understand how to be safe in a new gym environment and when to give myself a rest day to recover.

This gave me a 'Jump-Start' ahead of others in my squad, through the teaching of proper technique and a solid foundation of movement, strength, power and mobility.

Without the years of training with Athlete 1st, I would not of been able to transition as smoothly into University Performance Sport.

Returning to Athlete 1st is always a pleasure when I'm home from University!

Ollie Davies -- Rugby --

Ollie Davies has been developing his S&C with Athlete 1st since Primary School. This has prepared him on a physical and mental journey to become the best he can be at his chosen sport, Rugby.

Ollie worked one on one as well as in a group led by Sam and Liam, attending half term camps, weeknights, and morning sessions before School. All training sessions carefully consulted and orchestrated around studies,  team trainings with School, Macclesfield RUFC and Sales Sharks Academy.

Ollie was never, at any stage, overloaded with regards training or compromised his preparation for match day performances. The Weekday breakfast club sessions reflected their commitment, recognition of the benefit and enjoyment the boys got from the training.

Without question, the process of how to train properly with expert guidance from Athlete 1st has set Ollie up for life and has also contributed to the mental approach required to success in his sport as well as injury prevention and rehabilitation. Ollie at the end of the 2022/23 Season was achieving 9.85 meters per second as a 16-year-old.”
